Williams driver Logan Sargeant has revealed why he retired ahealthy car from the Hungarian Grand Prix. The American F1 rookiewas battling with Haas' Nico Hulkenberg late into the 70-lap raceat the Hungaroring before spinning at the Turns 6 and 7 chicane.Sargeant then quickly retired from the race - the third time in hisrookie season he has not been running at the flag - but he remainedclassified as he had completed more than 90 per cent of thedistance. "All in all, I was happy with how the race was going,"Sargeant told media including RacingNews365. "We had pretty decentpace today on a track that doesn't suit us and it is prettypromising to be honest. "[Teammate] Alex [Albon] was knocking onthe door of points, and heading to Spa, which should be great trackfor us, it is appetising and I am excited to get there. "[The race]ended a bit unfortunately, I was just pushing as hard as I could toovertake Hulkenberg, clipped the sausage kerb, spun and destroyedthe tyre, so we decided to stop there. "It wasn't a bad day andthere was nothing wrong with the car." Albon echoes Sargeant Albonfinished just shy of points in 11th and echoed Sargeant'sevaluation of Williams' weekend, adding: "P11 is quite a surprisingresult. "It was quite a defensive race, which we like to do, but wegot track position and were okay. "We came to this circuit knowingit would not suit us - I am very surprised. "On Saturday, wequalified where the pace of the car was (16th), on Sunday we had agreat strategy and then we just held off [cars behind]. "Clean airis so important around here and once I had clean air, even though Ipitted so early, I had a lot of laps to bed the tyre in very slowlyand not push it too hard."
