Alfa Romeo Zhou Guanyu is seeking answers after a never-before-seenproblem ruined his Hungarian Grand Prix at the start. From an F1career-best fifth on the grid, Zhou suffered a poor start andhaving been swamped by rivals connected with AlphaTauri's DanielRicciardo, triggering a first-corner chain reaction that leftAlpine duo of Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly out of the race. Zhouwas handed a five-second time penalty by the stewards for theincident and eventually finished 15th behind teammate ValtteriBottas - whose own start was impacted by having to run wide inavoidance. Zhou details problem Revealing the issue, a confusedZhou told media including RacingNews365 : "I was holding the revsbefore the four lights and I just lost all response from thethrottle, so I was starting with zero throttle. "It's verydisappointing, but unfortunately, there's nothing that I can say."We need to see in more detail what happened because this isstrange and has never happened before at all. "I tried to recoverbefore the five lights [went out to start the race], tried to gofull throttle but nothing was happening. "My start was a pull-away,it wasn't actually a start. That's why you saw my car not moving."It is really disappointing as I think it could have been good onlap one after the start and something happened that we have neverexperienced before. "I was obviously trying to brake as last as Icould to try and gain some positions back [at Turn 1] but thenpartly due to the dirty air of the cars ahead, unfortunately, Ilocked up into them. "But my race was over after the line."
